Pedro Pires

Born in Aveiro, began his musical studies at the age of 10 in the Marcial Wind Band of Fermentelos, later joining the Troviscal Arts Conservatory in the José Raposo and Ricardo Gonçalves teacher's class, where he finished his 5th Degree. In 2014 joined the Espinho Professional Music School to the professors Daniel Dias, Alexandre Vilela, and currently is on 2º year of the Bachelor course at Codarts in Rotterdam with Alexander Verbeek, Brandt Attema and Ben van Dijk teacher's class.


Currently is working with the trombone ensemble of Codarts (Rotterdam), he has also worked with the Metal Quintet of the Conservatory of Arts of Troviscal, guided by professor Pedro Pacheco and the Trombones group of the Professional School of Music of Espinho guided by the teacher Daniel Dias and Alexandre Vilela.


He made diverse amount of projects with orchestras and Ensemble, such as the AKOM Ensemble, Troviscal Arts Conservatory Orchestra, the Espinho Classical Orchestra, the Beiras Philharmonic Orchestra, Orquestra de Sopros do Estagio d'Ouro, the Espinho Professional Music School Jazz Orchestra and the Codarts Symphony Orchestra.


Pedro was directed by several national and international conductors such as: Pedro Neves, Jan Wierzba, Cesário Costa, Fernando Marinho, Carlos Marques, Ernesto Shelle, Luís Carvalho among others.
He had masterclasses with several national and international musicians such as: Nuno Scarpa, Jarret Butler, Ricardo Mollá Albero, Brandt Attema, Andreas Klein, Rex Martin, Bart van Lier, Christian Jones, Jörgen van Rijen, Ian Bousfield, among others.
