Ricardo Rocha
He began his studies in music in 2010, beginning the instruction on the trombone in 2011 with Carlos Silva. In 2014 he joined the Espinho Professional Music School, working with Daniel Dias and Alexandre Vilela.
He worked with a different variety of orchestras, such as the Espinho Classical Orchestra, Rinjmond Symfonie Orkest, Codarts Symphony Orchestra, Netherlands Youth Orchestra, Santa Maria da Feira Youth Orchestra, Wind Orchestra of the Academy of Arts of Chaves, among others.
He collaborated with the Espinho Jazz Orchestra where worked under the artistic direction of Daniel Dias, Paulo Perfeito and Matthias Schriefl.
In 2016 was selected as reserve in the 2016/2017 of Portuguese Youth Orchestra.
Participated in the Festival Gergiev 18/19 under a direction of Ivan Hut. Worked on guidance of conductors such as Mario Mateus, Luís Carvalho, Pedro Neves, Hans Leenders, Ivan Meylemans, Cesário Costa, etc.
Also in 2016 was awarded with the 1st prize in the Junior Category (16 to 18 years) of the International Contest of Instruments of Winds"Terras de La Salette". In 2017 with the 2nd prize on the Senior Category (19-26) of the same competition.
He also attended the 5th Festival and Academy of Low Brass in Alcobaça | Gravissimo where had the opportunity to attend lectures and classes by Sérgio Carolino, Hugo Assunção, Roland Szentpali, Thomas Ruedi, François Thuillier, Anthony Caillet and Anne Jelle Visser, Bob Stewart and Gyorgy Gyvicsan.
He worked with Stefan Schulz, Christian Jones, Bart van Lier, Pierre Volders, Jorgen van Rijen, Rex Martin, Ricardo Molla Albero Andreas Klein, Mark Boonstra, Nuno Martins, Hendrik Jan Renes, among others.
At the moment is doing his Bachelor course at Codarts in Rotterdam with the professors Alexander Verbeek, Brandt Attema and Bem van Dijk..
